Templepatrick Graveyard,
Miller Hill, Donaghadee.

This set of photographs includes some of the memorials in Templepatrick.

I have not set out to record the inscriptions; that has already been done by R.S.J. Clarke, Gravestone Inscriptions, Vol.14; UHF.
A few lines from each inscription may help to identify the memorial.

Some are difficult to photograph. They face close to north, and often lean forward at a precarious angle. Several have fallen.
I have tried to take shots from below leaning stones, but the results are not very satisfying.
Apologies for the inevitable mistakes - please let me know about them.

My aim is to capture the atmosphere of this beautiful old cemetery on the edge of the sea.
The church, if there was one, has long ago vanished. I like to think the location was chosen to be within sight of Scotland, whence many came.
